The Wall Street Journal delves into the struggle of large consultant firms to turn the AI hype into customer results, and the Harvard Business Review adds an analysis on how AI is already changing the structure of consulting firms from “pyramids,” with junior consultants on bottom, to “obelisks,” with less junior people. 77% of companies use Anthropic to automate work, increasing the odds they might replace jobs with AI, reports Bloomberg. In the same Anthropic report, Axios finds that wealthier countries and skilled people are more likely to benefit from AI, increasing inequality. Meanwhile, developers joked about coding like “cavemen” during a 30-minute Anthropic blackout, shares Ars Technica.
